Power Platform Engineer

What you will do on your journey with WebBeds.

As a Power Platform Engineer, you will join our Group Infrastructure Engineering team to own and evolve the Microsoft Power Platform estate across the organisation. You will design and maintain secure, scalable environments, implement governance frameworks, and work closely with Business Citizen Developers, Cloud Architecture, and Security teams to ensure the platform delivers real business value.

This role requires someone with deep hands-on Power Platform expertise, a strong governance mindset, and the ability to balance innovation with enterprise-grade control, enabling teams to build and automate confidently, without introducing unmanaged risk.

In this role you will:

Key responsibilities

• Software design and development: Design and develop complex software solutions that adhere to WebBeds' technical standards and meet business requirements, demonstrating mastery of software development principles and fostering innovation, and embracing accountability, challenges, and continuous development.

• Team mentorship: Provide mentorship to junior team members, nurturing their progress and enriching the team's overall skills, while empowering, guiding, and acknowledging their efforts.

• Architectural direction: Drive architectural decisions, contributing to the evolution of WebBeds' technology stack and ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as QA engineers, product owners, and business analysts, to ensure smooth integration of development work, embodying the anatomy of effective teamwork, professionalism, and thoughtful consideration.

• Best practice implementation: Implement coding best practices, adhering to design patterns, SOLID principles, and security practices.

• Code review and feedback: Participate in code reviews, promoting a culture of constructive feedback and continuous improvement, while embracing mistakes as opportunities for learning and growth.

• Troubleshooting and optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing software solutions for performance and reliability.

• Continuous learning: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements to continually enhance your skills and contribute to technical innovation.

• Security-first leadership: Inspire and lead by example, fostering a security-first mindset and influencing the team to prioritize security in all development activities.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including: Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven); Power Automate; Dataverse; Power BI (administration and governance).

• Proven experience implementing Power Platform governance, DLP policies, and CoE.

• Solid understanding of Dataverse security roles, environment strategy, and ALM best practices.

• Experience working with Citizen Developer communities.

• Knowledge of Power Platform licensing models and consumption monitoring.

• Experience with AI Builder and/or Copilot Studio.

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience operating Power Platform at enterprise or group scale .
• Azure services integration experience.
• ITSM or ServiceNow integration exposure. 
• Microsoft certifications (PL‑100, PL‑200, PL‑400, PL‑600).
