In 1998, WebBeds parent company, Web Travel Group (formerly named Webjet Limited), began as a small start-up seeking to disrupt traditional norms in the highly competitive online travel industry. In just over 10 years, Webjet became the #1 OTA in the Australian and New Zealand market.
Our success was fuelled by a culture founded on customer focus, innovation, and creativity.
Web Travel Group took this culture overseas in 2013, launching WebBeds in Dubai, and again sought to disrupt the industry, although this time in B2B travel trade distribution.
In just over 6 years, WebBeds became the #2 global B2B provider.
In 2024, Webjet Group Limited (ASX:WJL), comprising the B2C businesses of Webjet OTA, GoSee and Trip Ninja, demerged from our parent company Web Travel Group (ASX:WEB), creating two independent and simplified companies, improving our ability to pursue independent strategic priorities and growth agendas relevant to our business. Today, our global B2B organisation connects hotels and other travel suppliers to a diverse network of travel buyers all over the world, generating over 10 million bookings in FY25 - that's an average of a new booking every 3.5 seconds! You can find out more about how we work on the What We Do page.
