The Product Manager supports the Contracting team by managing hotel partner relationships and optimizing rate and availability performance through targeted, data-driven actions. This role covers the Yucatan Peninsula and part of the Caribbean market, but could be adapted to business needs. Product Managers work closely with internal teams and external partners to maximize commercial outcomes and partner engagements. 

The position also focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships within the department and across the broader organization.

In this role you will:

Key responsibilities

 

  • Partner relationship management: build and maintain strong, direct relationships with hotel partners and support engagement across the portfolio. 

  • Allocation and availability management: manage contractual allocations, last-minute availability, and overall portfolio occupancy to ensure optimal performance. 

  • Promotions and special offers: collaborate with hotels and the Contracting Manager to develop and launch promotions and special offers. 

  • Stop sale management: review, accept, or negotiate stop sales based on market and performance insights. 

  • Production analysis: evaluate production data and implement appropriate follow-up actions to protect and grow performance. 

  • Rate competitiveness: carry out competitiveness reporting and regular price comparisons to ensure the best available rates. 

  • Contract setup: support the setup and activation of BAR contracts, working closely with relevant internal teams. 

  • Booking recovery: assess, investigate, and recover third-party bookings to direct contract in line with departmental guidelines. 

  • Partner training: train hotel partners on supplier interfaces and support the adoption of system features. 

  • Market and trading analysis: conduct market and trading analysis, review key fair periods, and analyse key and ad-hoc reports to maximise rate and availability opportunities and support revenue growth.

  • Demonstrated experience integrating with or managing connectivity across leading hospitality Property Management Systems (PMS), including IBS, Omnibees, SiteMinder, and SynXis platforms. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with openness to learning and using AI tools. 

  • Commercial awareness in the travel industry. 

  • Strong communication and influencing skills. 

  • Strong teamwork and time management skills. 

  • Proactive and creative, with the ability to offer solutions to issues encountered. 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
