What you will do on your journey with WebBeds.

We’re looking for a UX/UI Lead to own the design function across WebBeds’ retail platform. You will set the design vision, lead a team of designers, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership to raise the quality bar across every customer touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities.
  • Lead the UI team — 1:1s, performance reviews and career development for a team of UX/UI designers across regions. If needed down the road hiring and onboarding as well but no immediate plans to grow the team further given recent additions.
  • Set the design vision and roadmap — align design priorities with product and business strategy, and represent design in senior leadership forums.
  • Drive the vision for WebBeds Design System — drive adoption across teams, govern workflows, and keep it aligned with modern design and accessibility standards.
  • Raise the quality bar — set standards for research, wireframes, prototypes and design documentation; run critiques and design reviews; step in hands-on for the most critical flows.
  • Partner cross-functionally — work closely with the Director of Retail Technology, Product Owners, Engineering leads and business stakeholders to balance usability, business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Shape design operations — tooling, rituals, handoff processes, and design QA — so the team can ship high-quality work at speed.
  • Champion user-centred thinking — bring research findings and analytics into decision-making, and advocate for the end user in every conversation.
The skills we would love to see in your suitcase.
  • We expect a player- coach profile - someone who leads with clarity but can still roll up their sleeves when the moment calls for it
  • 7+ years in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years leading or managing a design team. Portfolio showing work on complex B2B or enterprise platforms is essential.
  • Proven people leadership — hiring, growing and retaining designers; running performance and development conversations; building a healthy team culture.
  • Experience scaling a design system across multiple products, including governance, contribution models and adoption strategy.
  • Strong stakeholder influence at Director / Head of level — able to frame trade-offs, push back constructively and drive alignment.
  • Excellent visual and interaction design skills in Figma; strong grasp of user-centered design, accessibility standards and UI best practices.
  • Experience turning complex workflows into intuitive interfaces, especially across responsive and adaptive surfaces.
  • Comfortable with user research and analytics — knows when to commission research, how to interpret findings, and how to turn them into design decisions.
  • Strong understanding of developer workflows and the ability to set high standards for design documentation and handoff.
  • Experience in agile environments delivering design in iterative cycles across multiple product teams.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Spanish is a plus but not required.
