As the Regional Director, you will be at the forefront of driving product strategy, commercial excellence, and market expansion across key territories in Mexico and the Caribbean. In this leadership role, you will shape the performance and profitability of the region by overseeing a team of Market and Contracts Managers, cultivating high-impact partnerships with hotel suppliers, and delivering a diverse and competitive product mix. Your commercial acumen and team leadership will be critical in sustaining WebBeds’ strong presence and reputation within the global travel ecosystem.

In this role you will:

Oversee all commercial activities related to hotel sourcing in your region. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and mentoring a team of contract managers, shaping the hotel portfolio to align with business objectives, and cultivating relationships with key regional partners. You will manage supplier negotiations, ensure timely renewals, monitor market trends, and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to optimize performance and value delivery. This role demands strategic thinking, a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, and a hands-on approach to execution.

Key Responsibilities.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of contract managers across the region to deliver strong commercial results.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance standards aligned with WebBeds’ global sourcing strategy.
  • Conduct regular team performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive growth and engagement.
  • Host pre- and post-business trip briefings with clear objectives, performance goals, and follow-up analysis.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on results, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Define and manage the product mix across regional destinations, securing high-value, must-have properties.
  • Drive revenue by negotiating competitive rates and securing optimal availability from hotel partners.
  • Partner with key accounts and operations teams to maximize commercial opportunities and resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Stay current on regional procurement trends, including channel manager integrations and XML connectivity requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the SVP of Sourcing and other regional directors to align on broader sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure contracting trips and renewal schedules are aligned with business targets and partner timelines.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market dynamics in collaboration with yield and pricing teams.
  • Oversee the resolution of service and operational issues, maintaining high standards for partner satisfaction.
  • Drive internal communication standards to ensure timely updates on product launches, campaigns, and changes.
  • Support marketing, sales, and key account teams in promoting priority products and strategic partnerships.

  • Extensive experience in hotel contracting and rate negotiation within the Mexico, Caribbean, or LATAM regions.
  • Proven success in leading commercial teams with strong people management skills.
  • Deep understanding of the hotel distribution landscape, including extranets, channel managers, and XML connectivity.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented with a passion for the travel industry.
