As a Security Operations Specialist, you will be an essential part of WebBeds’ cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the protection of company assets and data through proactive monitoring, incident escalation, and trend analysis. Based in London, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to safeguard the organization’s digital landscape, contribute to strategic security initiatives, and support awareness training programs. Your expertise will help enhance WebBeds’ cybersecurity posture and foster a safe and resilient environment for business operations.

In this role you will:

As a Security Operations Specialist at WebBeds, you will champion cybersecurity monitoring and reporting programs, ensuring the organization remains resilient against evolving threats. You will analyze data to identify trends, support the implementation of security projects, and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive improvements. By leveraging your knowledge of current attack methods and proactive solutions, you will strengthen WebBeds’ security framework and contribute to our mission of delivering safe and secure travel solutions.

Key Responsibilities.
  • Champion the monitoring and measurement program through regular audits and detailed reporting.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, providing valuable insights for key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze security incidents, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support security project implementation by conducting testing, creating user guides, and managing communications.
  • Escalate and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the relevant teams.
  • Assist with reviewing new security initiatives and implementing proof of concepts.
  • Support vendor service reviews and follow up on action items.
  • Collaborate with security engineers and other stakeholders to successfully execute security projects.
  • Conduct domain monitoring for typosquatting and initiate takedowns when necessary.
  • Assist the Security Awareness & Training Manager with testing and improving training programs.

  • Familiarity with the technology landscape, including cloud services, MS O365 tools, email and password management tools, security operations services, and operating systems.
  • A passion for researching and resolving challenges while working collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Awareness of the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape, including trends in threat actors and attack methods.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively update and provide feedback to stakeholders.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a non-technical manner to diverse audiences.
