Established in the United Kingdom in 1975 initially as an inbound tour-operator, today, JacTravel is a multi award-winning accommodation provider to the global travel industry. JacTravel operates in both the FIT and the DMC B2B space with a simple API solution providing other travel companies the opportunity to connect directly to live inventory at over 250,000 hotels worldwide.
Hotel content is available in a number of languages and the company prides itself on sub-second response times, a comprehensive and competitive offering all supported by a dedicated team of travel professionals providing 24/7 customer support. The DMC Division is a market-leading provider of accommodation and ground services with a particular focus on the UK, Ireland and Europe. A winner of the prestigious Queens’ Award for Enterprise in 2016, JacTravel brings a wealth of experience along with half a century of trading and legacy to the WebBeds family.
Sunhotels began life in 2002 as a European beach destination specialist for the Scandinavian travel agent market-place. Over the years, the company has grown to become one of the largest accommodation and ground service providers in Northern Europe, offering FIT and Group travel services in beach and city destinations across the world.
Much of Sunhotels success can be attributed to the companies ethos of “keeping things simple” and the company has always strived to make it easy for customers to search, book and deliver travel arrangements with no fuss and no unnecessary complication. The user-friendly travel agent website is complemented by a simple and easy to integrate XML solution and the team continue to receive recognition from the industry, most recently winning the 2019 Grand Travel Awards “ Best Digital Hotel Provider”.
In 2014 Sunhotels was acquired by Webjet and joined Lots of Hotels as the WebBeds portfolio really started to take shape.
Lots of Hotels is where it all began for WebBeds as the brand was launched by Webjet in Dubai in 2013. Initially as a hotel provider to the Middle-Eastern travel market, Lots of Hotels has grown from a small office in Dubai to being part of the second largest network worldwide in a little under 5 years. We’ve come a long way in a short period of time.
Long before any of our other brands joined the WebBeds family, Lots of Hotels was already making waves, first establishing itself in the region, before expanding into Africa and The Americas. By 2017, Lots of Hotels was supplying travel partners in over 50 countries worldwide.
The key to what we do at Lots of Hotels is in our name. It is our goal to provide our wholesale and retail clients with the broadest possible product offering worldwide whether that is city-centre, beachfront, independent or chain, affordable or luxury, our aim is to offer a competitively priced, comprehensive product offering available to our clients via our travel agent booking website or via an API connection to our wholesale environment.
Initially founded in 1999, Totalstay was acquired by JacTravel in 2015 and then subsequently became part of the WebBeds portfolio in 2017. The brand was one of the first trade-only websites to provide a password-protected, online hotel booking tool exclusively for travel agents. Totalstay quickly expanded into mainland Europe, notably with success across Switzerland, Scandinavia, Iberia and France. The company continued to grow and by 2010 was established throughout Europe, North and Latin America and Southern Africa.
Never one to stand still, Totalstay was re-booted in 2011 and again in 2016, each time with added functionality and a new and improved website is due to be launched in 2019 with a whole suite of innovative tools and products alongside considerably quicker response times and enhanced User Experience.
